In the Art Room - Paper Weaving

Here's a two class period project I did with the first graders on paper weaving.  On day one, they painted and texturized a white sheet.  They also cut out and glued on their alligators heads, feet, and tails onto a sheet I had pre-cut slits into.  On day two, they cut strips out of their painted paper, wove them through the slits and then added teeth and eyes.  They loved them!
