In the Art Room - Virginia Cardinals
I do this every year with the first grade but never the same way! This year we learned how to change a circle into a cardinal. This project was especially satisfying for me because one little guy told his classroom teacher that I teach him how to do things he never thought he could!

I just finished a "bird on a branch" painting with my first graders. Why on earth did it never occur to me to use the state bird???????? Sheesh. Oh well, next year. (NoVa here too.) jan
