In the Art Room - Royal Playing Cards
I saw this lesson over on Deep Space Sparkle, and I loved the "double dipping" effect! I gave each 6th grade student a playing card for inspiration. I gave them a quick tutorial on how to draw the figures and then they outlined everything with a thin black line of paint. I gave them each a set of warm colors to double dip and a set of cool colors to double dip. Most were able to finish in two 45 minute periods.

Wow! These are great. I love the double-dipping too. It's such a great way to mix paint and takes so much less time than mixing in a palette. Thanks for linking!
